Panther TV Sports!
Congrats to our underclassmen August Student Athletes of the Month! Jack and Joseph lead their teams in the pool and on the trail by setting examples of hard work, dedication, and lifting other up! #PantherPride
-In Jack’s first year as a captain, he has stepped up in tremendous ways for his teammates. One of many young leaders on our team, Jack is consistently challenging his teammates to hold themselves to higher standards - both as individuals and as a group. Watching Jack support and lift up his teammates while simultaneously challenging them has been one of my greatest joys so far this season. I’m excited to see how he continues to lead, and I know his teammates are too. Keep it up Jack - Coach Izzy-
-Joseph is in his 2nd year of distance running after having no prior experience before high school. He has dedicated himself to training this summer and is now running paces for 10 mile runs that he could only hold for much shorter runs last year. Vast improvements so far. His drive and commitment to the work it takes to be a distance runner--training, strength, weight room, good sleep, etc.--is motivational for all his teammates. -Coach Kris-
Congrats to our August Senior Student Athletes of the Month! Coco, Tyler, and Emma are Panther Athletes that lead their teammates on and off the field and excel in the classroom, on campus, and in the huddle!
- Catherine “Coco” Oliver represents what it means to be a captain and leader, consistently demonstrating sportsmanship, toughness, discipline, and an outstanding work ethic. Her commitment to improving, positive attitude, and respect for her teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials make her a tremendous example for our program. Catherine leads through her actions, always putting the team first and competing with focus, enthusiasm, and character. -Coach Wood-
- Tyler is an outstanding young man who continues to improve through hard work and commitment. He started out his senior season with an outstanding defensive performance against Westlake’s number one receiver. Tyler’s work ethic, character, and performance on the field are model examples for his teammates.
- Emma is an outstanding teammate with great leadership qualities. Even though she is not a team captain, she takes on a roll of inspiring energy from her team and cheers proudly for her team who is on the court. She is a selfless player who everybody enjoys having on the team, including the coaching staff. -Coach Forrest -
